Design and commissioning of Allen-Bradley SLC500 system hardware and software for a number of special purpose coil winding machines.
These machines were installed at a new high profile plant for Black & Decker Asia Pacific in Jurong, Singapore.
Each machine was controlled by an Allen-Bradley SLC5/03 processor which interfaced with a PanelView 550 operator display and an IMC110 servo control module.
The PanelView allowed the operator to select between a number of pre-programmed product types which could be wound on the machine, or via a password protected option, edit parameters such as winding speed, acceleration, deceleration and number of turns per coil. The PanelView also allowed for real time fault diagnostics and production data to be displayed.
